In 2009 all schools and the district as a whole, met the Adequate Yearly Progress requirements in all subject areas tested for No Child Left Behind, including reading, math, science and writing.
     All buildings earned the Standard of Excellence in reading or math or in both.  In fact, out of 54 possible Standard of Excellence awards, our schools earned 39 - many in reading and math, as well as some in science and writing.
     In 2009 Robinson Elementary was named a No Child Left Behind National Blue Ribbon School.  Only four schools in Kansas were recognized this year.  Garfield Elementary also earned this prestigious award in 2006. 
 



     In 2009, Robinson and Lincoln earned the Governor's Achievement award.  This award is given to the top 5% of the schools on the Kansas State Assessments that year.  This award was created three years ago, and Robinson has earned the award all three years.

     In 2009, two of our principals were recognized by their respective organizations for their outstanding achievements.  Kim Christner was named Kansas National Distinguished Elementary Principal of the Year, and Eileen Dreiling was named the MetLife Middle School Principal of the Year.
